My beautiful little girl Molly was born on the 11th June 2002 at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, my 3rd child. She weighed 8lbs 8oz. When I was admitted into hospital to be induced as I was 9 days overdue, she was a healthy baby. Tragically and due to the negligence of the doctor and midwives on duty that night she was born with irreversible brain damage. she'd got into distress during my labour and they ignored it....for over 2 hours!!!!
Molly was put on a ventilator. My husband and family knew she would never breathe on her own but I couldn't accept it. how can you accept such a thing?
On the 15th June 2002, when Molly was just 4 days old. we consented to the ventilator being switched off. She was baptised by the hospital chaplain with us and our family around her then died shortly afterwards in our arms. That day changed our lives for ever.
It's now been 4 years and we've been blessed with another child, a son Sam, who lights up our lives and has given us reason to smile again but the pain never goes away.
We'll never forget you, sweet angel. Love Mummy, Daddy, big brother Shaun, big sister Leanne and little bro Sam x x x x
